Does anyone besides me and my friends make bets on professional hockey. Every week we make a bet on how many points a team will gain in the standings. If the team is more consistent at winning the amount of money we win is lower, but it is still quite fun to predict upsets and so on. Last NHL season I won $5000+ from my buddies.

I like betting on hockey, but it's pretty difficult to predict. It's a physical game with a lot of injuries and long season. I think it's one of the more difficult sports to bet on successfully

That was a pretty good amount of money that you won. I never liked the game much and was never interested in betting on it too. I somehow like Cricket rather than Hockey and we friends mainly bet on it.

Any game in which you can get a tie on on a daily basis is difficult to bet on. You never know what will hapen. Now the NHL has implemented a shoot-out system, but ties still occur often. The confusion though just adds excitement to the betting.

Yeah hockey was pretty much hit or miss for me when they could tie, as in soccer, but now with a winner and loser in every game and only two outcomes to bets, I am doing well this year, winning at a level above 60% thus far.

Over sixty percent is pretty good, I've found that after they implemented the new rules I'm at or around fifty percent which isn't a good enough number to have me betting on hockey too often
