Football pools
So does anyone run a football pool at work? And if so have you ever won on it? I never seem to do any good at them. There is always one or two teams that don't pull through for me but I keep trying to win.

The only pools I really do is NCAA Basketball for March Madness and I have won twice in say the last 5 years. I won through my bball league and last year on facebook. They are fun, but are a lot of work if you want to do well, unless you are already a big fan.

They always have something like this going on where I work. I have never won unfortunately. I have come close, but nothing yet.

We don't get into it at work, but my wife won about $50 on a pool based on the Grey Cup at the local beer and wings place.
The Grey Cup goes to the winner of the CFL playoffs, for those not familiar with the version of football involving only 3 downs. ![]()

We have always just done it for football. Someone mentioned maybe starting one for the basketball season but that probably won't happen until next year.

we have a pool at work, I started it three seasons ago and have yet to win a week. We've got about 25 people playing on any given week and I consistently finish in the top three or four, but I'm still waiting to win some money

There was a playoff pool at work a few years ago, however- since then I have moved on to a new job and we do nothing like this. I might suggest it at the next meeting though. The NFL playoffs begin in a month or so.
