Wow, what a tough season to be betting college football. You know it's rough when you can't even count on a division I-A school to crush a I-AA team.

Yes there have been some reason surprises in games college games this year. They keep saying how you really cannot guess who is going to win games this year.

I think in a way that is good because the surprise element is there and the interest will always be there among everyone which is good for the game.

Yeah definitely good for fans bad for the poles, but all that makes it hard for the average sports bettor. "Surprise Element" as you say is never a good thing in trying to predict the outcomes for profit.

If you have never bet on college football before this definitely was not the year to start. To say there have been “surprises” is a huge understatement. I don’t know about everyone else but it’s not been a profitable year for me.

I have bet on college football on occassion but you are so right I am so glad that I have not bet this season. Way to many surprises this season.

College football this year has been filled with surprises. I have seen so many highly ranked teams get upsete. But it is those kind of games that keep the sport entertaining.

We could have bets taken on how the teams are ranked. Whoever ranks them seems to have zero uniformity on how they decide who gets what rank. You can lose a game, but go up if you lost to a good team, go down by losing, go down despite winning, have teams ahead of you and you win, but you still stay the same. They need to standardize how they decide.

I never like to bet on college football even before this season. Things like missed extra points/field goals drive me crazy. I typically like to bet on professional sports rather then college.

I agree about the missed extra points and field goals. It is annoying when they miss what seems quite easy. I remember last NFL season, my team missed the playoffs because of a missed field goal. They would have won with seconds to go, but instead they went into overtime and lost. I was devastated. It was quite embarassing.
