Your esteemed venerableness, you miss the point, though your wit has provided most of the pleasure in this thread.
You should provide divine guidance to help CK suffer the burden of consistency exhibited on this thread.
CK has demonstrated his great superiority over the vast majority of racing punters by only losing a little over three months. He is to be applauded for this fine achievement and the "fun" he has given so many readers.
I have read this thread with sheer unadulterated pleasure these last months, smiling at the pure nihilistic expenditure of unrecoverable living time. I suspect you too may be sitting in your cell shaking your head at the human condition that gives rise to such wantonness.
I trust you are supplied with your special egg dish every morning, sir ;-)
CK, you are indeed a man of persistence and application..............and courage. One day, perhaps............., you will make a consistent profit and your efforts may be rewarded.
Would you say you learn by your mistakes or not?
Or is it that the random nature of the "sport" precludes long term financial success since it doesn't provide evidence of error or mismanagement and the only possible height attainable is that of break even?
Would you say that was a manifestation of the high percentage of randomness in any horse race?
Have you ever considered alternative employment or do you do this "professionally"?

Very perceptive, 0 Wholly 1.
I really had never thought I was still filling gaps, though now more profitably.
You are wasted in your present job.
You really should look for something where you could make a difference and do some good in the world.
Wow ! Such creative conceptuality on t2w !
BTW, why are you in Wormwood Scrubs?
What crime did you commit?
Perhaps you called out, "Nonsense", somewhere other than t2w.
Perhaps at a race track?
Perhaps at the Labour Party Conference?
So when is your execution?

The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong...
....but time and chance happen to them all.

Ecclesiastes 9:10-12

Thus the Bible teaches us that randomness will win over form.

Those who lookest up to the heavens from whence cometh their help, or into the scriptures of the ancients seeth only that which they wish to see, not that which they seek.
Verily, a looking glass into their own anxieties and hopes to survive as an individual tribe member against the enormity and unknowingness of the universe lest their alienation from it crushes them as they walk through the valley of death

This helpeth not with trading.

Previous Bank Balance from Handicap Bets = £499.02

Winners = 0

Total staked = £5.00

Returns = 0.00

Bank Balance from Handicap Bets on the 30-9-05 stands at = £494.02

Starting Bank = £500.00

P.S. Just to inform one and all that there won't be any bets for the
next few days at least as i am down with the flu and i need to
consider if im to carry on with my bets, i hope that you don't
think that im letting you down, i have personal reasons to
consider if im to carry on or not, this is my honest feeling
about what has been said

When i started i did say that my bets are purely on a fun basis
and if a profit is made we can look at it as a bonus.

No, im not running away or letting you down, i just wonder if those
out there do really look foreward to my bets even though im not
winning.

Theres a lot more that can be said, but in all honesty what is there
to be gained by saying it.

This thread was to be only about horse racing, yes of course
there will be times when certain postings are posted with good
intentions, not criticism thats uncalled for.
This thread is becoming something that is running away from
horse racing etc etc etc.

In saying all this, i do hope that i can return to this forum
when my flu is over and after giving it some thought.

There are also personal reasons that i have spoken in
this way.

Once again do not think that im letting you down, as i write
this i ask for understanding, im sure you will show it.

Thanks for reading this

Cheers
Ken

Please come back to us Ken.

You would be sorely missed if you left.

Don't let the criticism and gentle ribbings get you down.

It is a part of all of our lives that we have to withstand.

Be strong.

Certainly , I didn't get where I am today by not being strong.

There is nothing to forgive dear Peto.

My robes are incapable of being trodden on since I have had the hems raised to prevent that very event.

God bless you dear friend.

Let us all pray to Almighty God in Heaven for the speedy recovery of Ken from the dreaded influenza and a safe return to this forum where he might engage on a blessed winning streak.

Amen

hornblower will become famous soon enough
To all who have been giving Ken a hard time regarding his tips , and the gentle ribbing

Its just like you, putting every trade that you make on this thread,
would you like to have every trade that you lost money on, out there for every one to criticise?

No you lose money on your own time, at home and know one knows,

ken puts his tips up, win or lose, if you bet on them its up to you

Its just a bit of fun
give the guy a break

Ken its been fun and I have enjoyed it

I should give it up , as you are always going to have someone who will have a go
and I know that you are hurt by the comments

Isn't it the nature of the beast that when you post on an open internet forum you should expect your fair share of detractors, whether you are successful or not ?

If you are highly successful you will attract the jealous detractors - just ask Mr Charts.

If you are unsuccessful you will attract the hecklers and people who just want to have a little bit of a laugh.

Basically you cannot win and you should know that before you even contemplate posting.

Having said that I hope that Ken can develop a slightly thicker skin and come back so he can continue his harmless and entertaining pursuit.

BTW Hornblower, what does "lossed" mean ?

Ken,

Just to let you know that I've only recently started to look at these forums recently ( ie in the last three weeks ) and I have found your tips very helpful.

I regard it as a "bit of fun" and as long as others do likewise I would be really pleased to see you back here posting.
