Movement?
When I want to bluff people or simply distract them, often times I just begin to move around a lot. I tap my cards, move the chips around, move my hands, drum with my fingers, bounce slightly in my seat. Anything to get their mind of the game a little bit without being outright rude, I will do. It is good to do when trying to bluff to. Some reason people take it as you are edgy because you have good cards...
Does anyone else do this besides me? |

I have tried to do this but in the end I found the idea to be a bit too distracting. Moving around too much to throw off the other players actually made me focus less on the game then I should of been.

That's an interesting strategy. I think that there probably are more subtle possibilities there, too.
Actors study movement, and body language is a form of communication as well.

I always thought that trying to decieve the opponent always back fired on me somehow, I just try to keep my game by not giving any signals to the opponent.

It is not per say, giving signals to the other players, it is distracting them. Never give signs unless you are experienced and know what exactly you are doing- and you are sure you can concentrate on your own cards at the same time. But distracting them with little movements is a genius way to win some hands.
