Tilt

We all know (or should) that tilt is the #1 way to lose your money, all your hard earned money you made in a month can easily be lost in a few hours when your on tilt:

Common ways to end up on tilt:
  • Folding to a large bet only to have your opponent turn over a horrible hand (being shown a bluff).
  • Being bluffed by a small bet (a post oak bluff).
  • Having an opponent “suck out,” or catch a miracle card late in the hand (an unlikely out-draw).
  • Having what you think is a dominating hand bested by an even more powerful hand that you never saw coming.
  • Having an all-in showdown with a strongly superior hand preflop and losing.

Being able to know when your on tilt is what makes a great poker player. Not only do people go on tilt in actual game, when they are playing bad hands they wouldn't before, but also when you actually lose tournaments and try to win your money back by being too aggressive.

To be a good poker player you have to be able to handle large losses, be disciplined and get the thought of instant money out of your head.

It is pretty hard to see your opponent turn over a terrible hand when you had a large stack of chips on the table. Though it is upseting for you, one has to admit that they must of done a great job with bluffing their heads off.
