Bad beat
To start off with I will tell you all what a bad beat is just in case you do not know.
From Casino Gmabling.com "A bad beat in poker is when you have a good hand that is a favorite to win beaten by another hand. Most of the time it is a hand that caught a miracle draw on the river that should not have been played to begin with." Anyways now onto my tip to avoide a devastating blow in a game. First of all NEVER go all in. I know sometimes you will be forced all in if you have a low stack but if you are doing well then never go all in unless it is absolutley impossible for you to lose (which is hardly ever). Now, I know you will often want to go all in to win big, but here is the thing. There is always that small chance of the other person getting very lucky on the river and getting that 1 single card he needed to pull off a huge upset. If you go all in then you are done. You are out of the tornament. Though you want a big stack it is not worth losing it all just to get one faster. You can still win big without going all in.

I'm not sure I agree with your advice, you see a lot of tournament players go all in when the odds are not that much in thier favour, true you have to be careful but its not a tactic to be ignored

I have seen some players that just go all in with nothing. I guess they are trying to pull off a great bluff. But the fact is that they will probably lose unless of course they are going for that river card get lucky possibility. But I would never go all in hoping I would be able to pull of a bad beat on the other player.

Bad beats happen to everyone at some point or another, and not just one time. The key is to learn when to continue playing a hand and when not too.

It is really important to learn and develop accordingly. These advises are great for any new players.

Even though you may have a lot of chips already in the stack that does not mean you have to stay in the game. And as I said earlier never go all in. That way if you get a bad beat, when you had a lot in the stack, you can still keep playing future hands to redeem what you lost.
