I was reading on the news, in the link posted above, that just yesterday their was a poker game held to raise money for people who need expensive stem cell treatment. There was three women being played for some of them in their twenties and in a wheelchair. I love that poker can be used for some charity too instead of just a hobby or a sport.

I think it is a great idea to use poker in a benefit to help other people. I have never seen one in our area yet but that is a really good idea.

Good to hear that Poker was beneficial to some people in need of help. That is really good news to hear shading scars. It is surely for a good cause.

I’m sure glad to hear that they are raising money for charity. I remember that this is the research that supposed to help Christopher Reeve to get back the way he is.

I'm happy whenever I see something that I spend my time doing having a positive effect on the communuity. Poker has really come a long way in the last few years and charity events like this will certainly increase it's popularity and hopefully pave the way for more future events that help a good cause

I agree with you poker has come a long way, from being just a game that you have to spend money to being a donor to charity. We are all glad about this. We can play as well as donate money for the charity.

Most likley the stem cells were from murdered babies. But I guess tha is one interesting way to get your life saved. Win a game of poker and get the cells you need to live.

When it comes to stem cells I try to put myself in the other person's place. If one of my children was sick and stem cells were going to save his or her's life then I would go to the ends of the earth to get the help they needed. That is why I believe that charity to help this cause is great and am glad to see that the game of poker is involved. This is just my personal opinion on the matter.

Is not he dead? Also they say a lot about the research but they do not have anything solid to base it on. It also depends on what type of stem cell research they are doing. Some kinds do not help, other like adult stem cells has proven results.

He is dead now. He waited for this to succeed, but he has died before it has. It is too bad; he did not get the benefits of it.
