Has any of you ever played at one of those church festivals in the summer? I have but do not really like playing with up to 20 people at one time. Plus the betting limits are too small so it is not very fun.

What are these church festivals? Aren't gambling and church supposed to go against each other?

You would think so, but the money goes to a good cause so I guess the churches look past it all. It is all just harmless fun. Everybody wins at these festivals.

I've never seen a festival like that, but it sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to go to one sometime but I don't see my parish hosting it anytime soon.

It is just one of those summer festivals. Do you guys not have summer festivals around you? Where I live they are always hosted by a church of somesort. Then they get volunteers and all money goes to the church or an organization.
