What is considered illegal?

Playing poker is considered gambling I guess. Here in our country gambling is not good. I just do not understand why those who are playing in their own places are considered illegal gamblers. While those who are playing in casinos are not illegal.

That is because casinos have gone through all the legal processes and have aquired the rights and liscence to do so. While just us playing is not legal because we have not. But I doubt you will ever get in trouble for it unless you make a big deal out of it.

The government really needs to legalize it. There is so many worse things out there that remains legal yet they feel the need to make gambling illegal. Gambling is just a way to have some fun every so often.

I remembered when my dad was being put in jail because of playing card games. I was with him when the policemen go to their gambling place. It's the house of their friend. Since then I've said to myself that I will never gamble in my whole life.

If that is so then why are you here on a poker site talking about gambling and how you want to learn how to play all of these games in which you gamble?

I don't worry about it to be honest when we are playing in our own home. I guess technically we could get into trouble but to me that is just a ridiculous law. We are not hurting anyone by playing poker in our home.

Unless you went out and told the police you were betting in your own house then I doubt you could get in trouble. Unless they gota permit for your house and was booking you for something else.

You are right but you still want to be careful because you never know who is watching. I have known plenty of people who have had their bank accounts frozen.

Why did they have their accounts frozen? They were playing in a casino right? If so then why would that action be taken against their accounts?

What is considered illegal?

I personally think gambling is an illegal thing in the country but people play it at their own risk so this is not the matter of applying some ban on playing it as far as I think.
