Do you talk trash when playing poker? Lots of people just hurk out insults to try and make themselves seem more confident when playing. I personally find this annoying but what about you.

I don't do this and I agree that this drives me nuts when someone does do it. To be honest I am glad to see when people that do this end up losing. Takes some air out of their sails.

This is a no no in my world. I can not stand it. As I mentioned in another thread of whats annoys me I said that some jokes here and there is ok but that is about it. I can not stand trash talkers.

Yes leave the trash talking for the bar fights instead and concentrate on the poker game. That is how I see it.

Amen to that! I love when some arrogant fool is chatting his head off and then loses a big hand. That ruins his whole mood and everybody gets so thankful for it when he finally shuts his mouth.

Unfortunately this is quite common. This drives me nuts when playing so like you I enjoy when a trash talking fool loses a pot.

I think that might be one the few benfits to playing onlike poker. If you have some fool that is annoying you and just wont shut up then you can just block him, change tables, or log off wih no problems at all.

That surely is a big advantage. You do not even have to watch the chat there.

Some poker sites also have a chat filter from what I have seen. That is where they block certain words that I guess them deem to be offensive and it is blocked. That is also a nice fact about online poker. It helps to reduce trash talk cause it is kind of hard to talk trash when half the words you are throwing out comes out as *****
