Does anybody like these shows? I cannot stand them. Most of them are just washed out celebs trying to get some attention. Then they can't even play a hand of decent poker.

I sat and watched through two rounds of the Celebrity Showdown ....these kind of shows gives a sinking feeling....If anyone is really interested in learning the game...its better for them to stay away from these kind of shows.

They are often meant as some kind of charity where they give money to some organization. When it comes to poker there is not really interesting to watch. A lot of fooling around in those shows.

I watched two shows of "celebrity Poker" and my opinion is if anyone is a beginner who wanted to know how to play poker then better stay away from these kind of shows...you would never learn poker from these kind of shows.

I think they really grab your attention and many people are attracted to celebrity pokers because the of the glamour they provide you is absolutely attractive.

Sadly a lot of these poker players in these games are not the big time celebrities that people actually want to see. It is old washed out people that used to be famous. For taht reason lots of people turn the channel cause they have no idea who the players are anymore.

They do it for two reasons. One because they are paid to be there. Two for the exposure and hopes that they will be picked up by a movie producer or something like that so they can get their career going again.

Nope, I don't like them. I don't like any shows that have anything to do with crappy celebrities doing stuff they suck at (Dancing with the Stars).

I have to agree these shows are pretty pointless. We see celebrities all the time as it is so why do we need to see the playing poker?

They just will not leave us alone. That is one thing I hate about the media in America. The celebrities are always on the television screen in one way or another. Then they shove celebs into things they are no good at...such as poker.
