Offline vs online
What do you think is the advantages of playing online compared with offline?
I have a few things I feel is big advantages. 1. The speed. Online games are much much quicker. 2. You can play at any time. Whenever you feel like it. 3. You can easily choose from a lot of different version of games. What you miss out on when you play online is the social part. And that is something I really miss sometimes. |

Since I'm more interested in the social side of poker, playing online doesn't really interest me at all. But it is true that the pace is much quicker and I like that.

I spend a lot of time online so for me the choice is online. There is another reason also. As a beginner I feel online is the best place to learn and gain confidence.

I do miss the social part when I play online but the advantages you show makes me choose online poker instead of live poker most of the times.

That is true but then you have to take the good with the bad. If you are a great bluffer then its no gain for you because you cannot see what others are doing as well. But if you are bad at bluffing then I can see why you would like this.

As I said in another topic I would much rather play any game in person. I do not find it very much fun to sit behind a computer and play these types of games. I am a social person so I find it more enjoyable.

Online poker has much shorter sessions than traditional poker...While a traditonal poker game may take 5-6 hours to complete online poker may come to end even in 10 minutes!!!I believe that offline poker is much more intense than online poker.

Online
I think the speed really matters and that is what the online games provide not just the poker itself but any game you play online provides you real time statistics.

Online or in real life?
I think the real one actually creates the scenario because once you are into environment you tend to feel it on the other hand online casinos provides you the ease of playing they provide you real time statistics as well so both have pros and cons
