"By 2 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, Gemini is directly overhead, and meteors will streak outward in all directions like spokes on a wheel, weather permitting.
Forecasters predict one or two shooting stars per minute during the peak hours." Seasoned skywatchers offer these tips: —Turn off all lights, indoors and out. —Dress more warmly than you think necessary. —Give your eyes 15 minutes to adjust to the darkness. —Lie back on a lounge chair or blanket and scan as much of the sky as possible. —Don't use binoculars or telescopes — meteors move too fast. I will have to remember these tips. I am never lucky when it comes to seeing things like this when they happen.

The ironic thing is, after I posted all of this and got all the tips, I ended up forgetting to go outside and view the show. I got on this website the next day and saw my post and just slapped myself on the head. How could I forget?

That's too bad. Were you able to see any video or stills of it online?
The most interesting phenomenon I saw was a solar eclipse that created the strangest natural lighting effect I've ever seen. That would probably be about 15 years ago?

I actually went online and watched some amazing video of the entire show. It was really quite awesome and left me speechless. The wonders of the universe is breathtaking.
