MLB Steroids
What do you think will be the affects of the study released on the use of steroids in Major League Baseball?
I think it will have a negative effect, along with some of the deals made by players like A Rod, but that's another topic.

I don't think there will be much of an effect on the game. Batters and Pitchers all on the juice. They offset each other. Fans still prefer a 11-10 game to a 1-0 game.

They may use steroids, but they have to have initial talent to be able to do anything great anyways. I read an article on Fox News about this claim and it was shocking. Even my favorite all time player, Roger Clemens was mentioned as one who has used steroids. Tragedy...

I personally find it appalling. I mean yes I agree that you do need talent to begin with but to have records like the most homeruns broken by someone on steroids is just not a recognition of their true talent. At least not to me it isn't.

I find that most fans really do not care about the steroid hype. You also have to remember that the list is only suspected players. They are innocent until proven guilty. While using steroids is not a good personal choice, why should they be condemned for trying to get an upper hand in their career? Hollywood models do it wih breast implants, face lifts and so on. They are using drugs to enhance their career. So why is it when a baseball player does it, it is wrong?

First of all I would have to say because steroids are dangerous. As to what Hollywood stars do to stay ahead in their careers I really don't agree with some of it either.

The whole steroid era is ashame, it clearly is a disrespect of the game, however in todays world, everybody is looking for that "edge" It's ashame to see some of these big names mentioned, however all the MLB can do is move on and find away to detect HGH without using blood samples.

Plastic surgery and breast implants are dangerous too. It has been proven to even increase the odds of getting cancer. They should not be allowed to this if baseball players can not use anything to enhance their game.

![]() One thing that's unfortunate about current players using steroids is the fact that not all of the players in the record books had the same "opportunity" to use them, and not all players currently use them. So it's not really the same as when everybody's playing with "more lively" baseballs as was suggested a few years ago. I'd be interested to hear what Hank Aaron has to say about this topic.

Considering that a lot of them are saying now that the trainers were giving them the steroids and they didn't know that it was steroids to me it just makes them all the more laughable in the sense that how in the world would you allow a trainer to give you something and not want to know what it is?
Bottom line I just feel that if they don't want them taking steroids then they shouldn't be taking them. I mean if I was getting their salary I would be walking the straight and narrow when it comes to this. |
