He was not appointed. The Supreme Court overturned a Florida Supreme Court ruling.

Satute. §§102.111, 102.112 states that the votes have to be submitted to the Secretary of State by November 14th. The Florida Supreme Court broke the law and stated that they had until the 26th. In case you forget, the job of the judicial branch (that includes Supreme Courts!) is to interpret the law. So can you please explain to me how the interpreted 14 to mean 26? How does 14 mean 26! TELL ME! Hint hint, they are completely different number. It is sad that one has to tell that to liberals and all of these Democrats. I think I learned this before I even went to school. So the Supreme Court overturned the illegal actions of The Florida Supreme Court. It is kind of, you know their job...

Also Gore tried to illegal have recounts only in heavily Democratic counties. That is kind of umm... illegal. Their is a strange thing called the 14th amendment and a equal protection clause (have you heard of it?) The State may not, by later arbitrary and disparate treatment, value one person's vote over that of another. See, e.g., Harper v. Virginia Bd. of Elections. “The right of suffrage can be denied by a debasement or dilution of the weight of a citizen’s vote just as effectively as by wholly prohibiting the free exercise of the franchise.” Reynolds v. So as you can see, Gore and the Florida Supreme Court was breaking the law and going against the Constitution by demanding only recounts in certain counties.
