Quite a Laugh
I use to go to my grandma's and play Bingo with her and the community group. Of course they were all old. The winnings were often small too, the most was about 15 dollars on a jackpot. However it was still fun.
The funny thing though is, when you know someone is about to win, call out Bingo and all the old ladies would clear of their card in dismay. Then when the card checker comes over just say, "oops, I don't have one." All the old ladies just emptied off their card too early, and many of them are too upset to cover them again quickly and just sit out the rest of the game. Less competition means a higher chance you will actually win. It is kind of mean and not really right at all, but it can give a good laugh. Try it out sometime. |

That's funny but kind of cheating, it is more enjoyment with your family members. This can get all the family members together and increase the bonding. Anyways, old people might even consider your purposeful saying as a kiddish behavior and feel more elder and more matured themselfves.

Is it really cheating? I do not think it is against the rules to prematuerly call Bingo. However it may just plain our wrong. Especially against older people. They never catch on that you are intentionally calling it at the wrong time though. So they do not get mad. They just feel that you are a bad player.

I think that is great lol! I mentioned that briefly in a nother thread but yea I support that all the way. Anything is fair in the tough game of Bingo. Do whatever it takes to win

Ha, I have seen this happen so many times. On hand it is irritating because the cards are all cleared, but on the other hand it is a good thing because there is still a chance where you can win. We used to play at this local sports bar and it happened so many times (too many drunk people playing) that it became a rule to NOT clear your chips until the BINGO was verified.

Exactly. It is legal, and it is funny. I have won a few times in the past because some old ladies cleared their cards. One should wait for the Bingo to be verified. If not they will fall victim to the "unexperienced" player.

You sure wouldn't want to try this out a big hall and get caught. I have seen some people get really nasty towards people that call bingo and they don't have it even when it is an honest mistake.

Well if anyone gets too nasty you get someone to restrain them or even get a cop. It is just a game and if they can not use the common sense concept of waiting until a win is verified, well it is their fault.

This is quite interesting but I am not sure if I would really try that out as it gets a little technical to me and I don't want to get chased out of there by pulling something like that.
