I agree that you should always wait until a bingo is verified before clearing your cards but there is a big difference between calling bingo mistakingly because you think you do have it vs. calling just as a joke when you know you don't have it.

that's why i don't clear my bingo card so early. but it's a nice strategy

It wouldn't work locally. I mean its pretty clear if you're no where near that you faked it, and doing that will get you removed from the game-and so it says in the sign up.
