This game it too hard!

They only way I can play backgammon is on a computer because the computer knows all the rules and wont let me make a wrong move.

I have a board, and I have read the rules, and I have played on the computer, but I just don't get it and I don't know anybody who knows how to play.

I have never played a computer version but I know that computers are hard to beat in games like this. I used to play with my father but I would always lose. It was just too much for me when I was like 7 or 8. My dad would always trap my pieces and I could never get any of them in.

I think its sorta easy to beat the computer. Further proof of me not knowing the rules, I didn't even know that you could trap pieces. I haven't played for a while though because I haven't been on my dads computer.

Trap is bad word to use. I mean when your pieces are "landed on" and they get knocked off the board so you have to roll the dice to try and get them back on the board. Tell me if I am mistaken with this.

I'm not sure. The computer game I was using could have had different rules, or it just sucked.

I think that the only way to play is live. I have played online and cannot stand it. It is only as hard as you make it to be. I think that many people give up because they think it is hard. It just takes time to learn like other games.

After I learned, I really didn't think it was too hard, but I was also playing against novices as well. What is so bad about playing online? I was thinking about doing that soon. Is there a lot of cheating or something ?

Can you believe I have never played this game before? It was never really popular among any of my friends or family. I don't really know anything about the game at all, but I'm going to check it out to see what it is all about.

Most of my friends and family have never played Backgammon either, and some have never even heard of it ! I just happened to know someone who was willing to teach me because he had no one to play with. If it wasn't for him, I probably to this day would not know how to play.

I do not understand how one could think it is a hard game. All you do is roll a die and move the pieces. It is just like all the games one would play as a young child. The only thing with backgammon is that you can make it more interesting by making private bets with your friends.
